Dragon Sourcing successfully streamlined the sourcing process for a leading U.S. sports facility and accessories brand, showcasing their expertise in harnessing emerging market values. The project focused on three key products: the Flex Soccer Goal, Bench Tent, and Back Rebounder, with an emphasis on quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. 

Flex Soccer Goal: 

The Flex Soccer Goal, featuring dimensions of 6.5’ height, 12’ width, and a 30lbs steel construction, exemplifies innovation with its tool-free setup and consistent shape retention thanks to tension poles. The product’s design ensures a true soccer goal appearance with its white vinyl posts and 2.4mm mesh net. 

Bench Tent: 

This product enhances comfort at sports events with its sizable dimensions (4300mm x 1750mm) and durable 210D black oxford cloth. The bench tent’s design includes multiple fiberglass and plastic components, ensuring easy setup and robust performance under various conditions. 

Back Rebounder: 

The Back Rebounder, designed for rigorous training, includes a detailed structure that ensures durability and functionality. Specifications like a 288.93 X 80.01cm net and a robust frame made of steel tubes cater to intense usage, making it an indispensable training aid. 

Throughout the sourcing process, Dragon Sourcing applied a meticulous approach, from demand analysis to supplier auditing. This included detailed RFIs and RFQs that facilitated the selection of suppliers not only capable of high-quality manufacturing but also of meeting rigorous international standards and client-specific requirements. We identified 149 suppliers of which only 51 passed the phone interview. Based on the phone interview, we sent RFI/RFQ to 51 suppliers. Only 6 suppliers responded to our RFI/RFQ, and we plotted their response on a scorecard.  

The strategic sourcing approach led to significant enhancements in product quality and supply chain efficiency. The collaboration with new suppliers has opened avenues for future product development and diversification, strengthening the brand’s market position and operational resilience.
